About NHOG History... Years ago, a number of owners of New Horizons recreational vehicles expressed a desire to get to know each other and share experiences. The New Horizons Owners Group (NHOG) was formed as an informal association of New Horizons owners which is "staffed" by owner volunteers and is separate from the manufacturer, New Horizons RV Corp. Owners, wannabes and interested parties are welcome to the group. There is no registration requirement or dues. An email to the webmaster is all that is required to be part of the NHOG. New Horizons RV Corp.... is the manufacturer of New Horizons trailers. Located in Junction City, KS, they have been manufacturing quality RV trailers since 1990. For phone contact, call (800) 235-3140. For more information about their products and floor plans, follow this link to their website: http://www.Horizonsrv.com or email them at horizons@horizonsrv.com. For Sale units... For a convenience to New Horizons owners, an owner may list their NH unit on the NHOG web site's For Sale page. Send the information and optional photos to the webmaster for posting. The co-ordination of the sale is entirely the responsibility of the owner. New Horizons Rallies... These are informal gatherings of New Horizons owners with a primary purpose of sharing information and experiences. Each rally is organized by owner volunteers. With enough interest the rallies are held every few years. The rallies began in 1999. Currently, the rallies are held in varying locations every 18 months. Notifications... To be included in a periodic emailing from the NHOG, email your information to the webmaster to include your email address. This will ensure that you stay current with NHOG activities and plans for future rallies. When you are on the road... and you meet New Horizons owners, be sure to tell them about the New Horizons Owners Group and this website. Newsletters... The Horizon Herald was an owners publication created by former New Horizon owners, Don and Helen McNally. They did the reporting, collection, layout, printing and mailing for this newsletter for the New Horizons owners. After many years, they relinquished that task to New Horizons owner Nancy Moon. When Nancy resigned the editorship, Lloyd Treichel took over those editorial responsibilities. At that time it became an internet only publication. The internet only publication Exchange had a very short life. After some bouncing around between Forums and Groups, there is an NHOG Forum as an information exchange for New Horizons owners and wannabes. Go to the New Horizons Owners Forum to ask questions and share your experience and lives with other New Horizon owners. Follow the link to Newsletters for past copies of both the Horizon Herald and the Exchange. The NHOG website... is maintained on a volunteer basis by Lloyd Treichel. Email him with your ideas, comments and suggestions. |
