Exchange Contents:
The Exchange needs material. Ideas include:
Nothing appears in the Exchange without your input. Input is not limited to New Horizons owners.
All New Horizons owner names appear in bold face. NHOG Rally 2005 Rally 2005 is just three weeks away. Perhaps some of you are already headed to Missouri. The New Horizons Owners Group Rally will be held at Sundermeier RV Park, St. Charles, MO from Sept 30 - Oct 4, 2005. See you there.
Complete rally details can be found at:
The Travel Channel has a series about unusual vacation homes. One evening those vacation homes were on wheels. Three unusual RVs were presented during the show. There was a 70 foot (that's right) RV on a Peterbilt chassis. It also had an $80,000 paint job. More unusual was the RV that was built as a boat and an RV was built atop the hull. It is a land or water RV. Eight MPG on land and one MPG on water. For its water journeys, air filled outriggers are deployed at the water line to keep the unit from tipping over while navigating on the water. The third featured RVs was the Sisters On The Fly. This is a group of ladies who are fishing fanatics. They have vintage mid fifties trailers which are restored and unusually decorated. Very few have indoor plumbing. Their web site is at: http://www.sistersonthefly.com/. For some photos of the decorated trailers go to: http://www.sistersonthefly.com/trailers.php From: Margie
Soon I will be selling my New Horizons
travel trailer. The Datastorm unit installed on my trailer is now
for sale. Although I am living in the trailer until my house is
built, I am 'plugged in' to cable since I have 'plopped' in one
spot.
The D1/4000 Datastorm high speed 2 way internet setup includes the dish, modems, controller, base plate etc. It is presently on my New Horizons trailer and I can arrange an installer to remove the system and install it on another rig. I am in Long Beach, Washington...I will drive a couple of hundred miles to meet a buyer. I used it eight months...love it...works perfectly. $2,500.00 or best offer. An installer near Portland, Oregon will charge $500.00 to install on your rig. He, too, will travel a short distance in order to facilitate the the buyer. Email: margie@myfavoritemechanic.com
From: Larry and Eniss Nigro Larry's mother passed away on August 6. We had planned on attending the New Horizon and Escapees rally. However, we will have to pass on both rallies. We need to make sure that Larry's father is taken care of. He is in good health, but at 88 years old he needs looking after. We will be leaving New England sometime in October to head to Junction City for some warranty work. Hope to see you down the road. From: Lloyd Treichel Recently I was reviewing files on my laptop that were related to RVing. In my opinion, for some of the best and most thorough material go to http://www.phrannie.org/ where you can learn all about electricity and water and other facets of living full time in an RV. Rather than relate my travels here, see http://www.wandrin.us.
